A few years ago I was asked to shoot a wedding.. all.by.myself.  I had second shot a few times and decided I would say yes.  I was terrified, and excited all at the same time.  I did it.  I loved it.  They love the images and it was heavenly.  It was Jana’s brother.  Later I did her whole family’s pictures.  And then I did another wedding where Jana was a bridesmaid.  And I was thrilled when I was asked to do her wedding.

Jana and Steve are one of those couples you just love.  They are kind and sweet.  They are so grateful and one of the kindest couples to work with.  I love that they are up for anything I throw at them.  They were married 8.14.10 at the Columbia River LDS Temple, in Richland, Washington for time and all eternity.  I love when couple come out of the temple so excited and ready for this new chapter in their life.  It makes my heart flutter.  Now on to the good stuff.

Steve and Jana were so excited to see all of the friends and family who were waiting for them to come outside.  There  was a lot of cheering.I love Jana’s dress.  Seriously love it.  I still love my wedding dress that I was married in, but this dress it is up there on my list of dresses I love.  And she was rocking it.

And the bouquet.. gorgeous!  Jana had this whole style going for her wedding day, she looked stunning.  And Steve was looking pretty good next to her.I love the happiness that these two ooze.  They are so full of life and made this day so much fun!It was a hot day.  And the sun was out in full force, but they worked.I love intensity in Steve’s face. These two have the most gorgeous eyes.I had to get a nice laid back picture of Steve.  You can tell he feels like the luckiest guy ever.
I love how relaxed she is.  And still so gorgeous.
I could watch these two interact all day. The moments like this make me happy.  I love some pretty sun flare at the right time. Steve and his boys.  The girls were digging their shoes. And the gorgeous women of  the day.  The three girls on the left.. their Jana’s sisters.  Thank you so much for allowing me to capture your day.  To be their for those moments that will last a lifetime.

Lee Ann wants… YOU!!

August 9, 2010

I have an idea in my head and I want to try it out on a couple.  So if you and your significant other are interested in being a model for me (or you and some one that you think would look awesome in pictures with you).. and getting some cool pictures while I experiment and you want to help me out LIKE NOW!  (Seriously this week) Leave me a message.  And one of my lucky readers will get to spend a little time with me.  It’s going to be RAD.

I love my clients.  I know I say it over and over.  And Devin and Dru were no exception.  We hadn’t had a chance to meet before their shoot, and I was so excited to meet them.  And they are RAD.  (I have decided that word needs to come back.)  I love getting to know my clients and have them become friends.  As the shoot went on I learned so much about these two and I loved seeing how in love they are.  It was obvious by the way Dru treated Devin he adores her.  And she is head over heels in love with him.  They are why I love my job.

Dru is leaving soon for Iraq.  He is in the National Guard.  I am so grateful for his service to our Country.  Thank you Dru!  They wanted to do their engagements before he leaves for his tour.

As you can tell he was much more interested in checking her out, than in looking at the camera.  It worked.  It’s them.  I love it.
Devin is totally HOT!  Dru you are a lucky man!Devin is pretty lucky too.  He adores her.  You can see it in the pictures and the way he treats her.  Funny thing we were outside in downtown Kennewick shooting and a guy came out and invited us in his shop so we could take picture.  The light was awesome, and it was a break from the Tri-City wind.
Seriously you two are adorable!I love this shot.  Love it.  It makes me heart flutter.  That’s how much I love it.  Hopefully you do too.Congratulations you two!!  Thank you for allowing me to capture you and document your love.

I am so behind on my blogging.  I am working at being better.  But between being Mom, Wife, Photographer and house hunting crazy lady, I have gotten behind.  At least I am working to catch up now.  And I am grateful I am getting these up before their wedding in just a few weeks.

Steve and Jana are one of the sweetest couples.  They are so down to earth and head over heels in love with each other.  I loved working with them.  And I cannot wait for their wedding.  These two are so fun to photograph.   Jana had told me she was worried they wouldn’t look relaxed and natural in their pictures.  I think they did a great job of relaxing in front of the camera and just being themselves.

This was my first shot I took.  Totally relaxed and super cute.Jana has the most amazing eyes.  I am totally jealous. Steve and Jana both checking each other out. This wall is one of my favorite walls.  I love the squares.  And the two of them are so happy, it makes me love it even more.
More ice cream in a shoot of mine.  You have to love ice cream.  It is my favorite food ever.I love the light in this shot. I had to stop at this great pear orchard. We were racing the light at this point but it was worth the stop.
We made it up to the windmills where they got engaged just in time.  I may or may not have been going 80 to get there before the sun went down.  But it was worth it go push my minivan a little faster.  (Have I never mentioned I drive a minivan?  Because I totally do.  It’s awesome.)
When I picked up Steve and Jana I saw his guitar and told him we needed it for the shoot.  He is super talented and plays the guitar so well.  I loved watching him in his element as he played and Jana snuggled up to him.  It was such a perfect moment to capture them as they are.  And this shot is one of my favorite from the session.
And the final shot of the night.  The sun was almost down and we nailed it.Thanks Jana and Steve for letting me catch a glimpse into your life.

Matt and Andrea were married in June on a beautiful Saturday full of crazy Tri-City weather.  They were married in Matt’s parents back yard and had a beautiful intimate ceremony.  It was small and perfect.  I am so excited for their future.  Those two are so in love and happy I cannot wait to see all that they do.

Andrea had a beautiful dress.  It was beautiful on her and she radiated.
She had her best friend helping her get ready.  I loved being there and seeing the attention to detail.  Good friends like that are hard to find.Andrea had the most GORGEOUS shoes.  I love them!I recommend couples doing a first look before the ceremony.  I love the feelings that they get.  And the quiet moment is perfect to be able to watch and capture the start of their new life together.Andrea was gorgeous as ever.  And you could tell how happy these two were to be starting a life together.Andrea’s daughter Brielle was the most darling flower girl ever.Congratulations Matt and Andrea!  Thank you for letting me part of such a special day!

First off, I love my job!

Tyson and Victoria were married in the Portland, Oregon, LDS Temple, on May 22nd.  That’s where I was married almost 11 years ago, so I have a spot in my heart for that temple.  I love it!

A quick sneak peek!

I loved how into each other they were.
Isn’t Victoria gorgeous!
I love a good Harley.  Tyson’s Dad was sure to pull out the helmets, I love it!
Congratulations you two!  Thanks for letting me be a part of such a special occasion!

I love ice cream.  Like a lot.  I happen to love Black Licorice the most.  A few weeks ago our family happened into a fantastic little diner in Richland, Rosy’s Diner.  It has the best ice cream ever.  I looked around this shop and I knew that I had to being Matt and Andrea here.  Andrea and I met for lunch and to discuss her upcoming wedding and I told her about my idea, and thankfully she likes ice cream too, and they were sold.  Have I mentioned how awesome my clients are?

Matt and Andrea are getting married in one month and I am so excited that I get to shoot their wedding.  It is going to be a fabulous event.

We started at Rosy’s they were loving their Chocolate Malt.  And I love the Sailor kissing his girl right above them.  Perfect!

I love it when clients have props that they want to use.  Like the vintage bikes you see in this shoot.  Matt works for a local bike shop as a Manager, so it was fitting to have bikes in the shoot.
Andrea has the cutest little girl.  She was more than happy to carry balloons and join in on the fun.  Doesn’t she just melt your heart?  This is my favorite shot from their session.  Love this.
We finished our night hoping for a fabulous sunset.  But the clouds rolled in.  Instead we went for Tri-City scenery.  It was complete with wild flowers, sage brush and a few tumbleweeds.  Shortly after I took this shot I saw a snake at my feet.  I am convinced it was a rattle snake that wanted to eat me.  So I did what any responsible adult would do, I looked at my couple screamed and ran and told them to get out of the dirt.  First class, I’ll tell ya.  It was awesome.  I am sure that was the highlight of their night.  I guess I have a slight phobia of snakes.

First off, my clients are awesome.  Completely and totally awesome.  I am so blessed with great clients who are fun and awesome.

Andrea and Matt are no different.  Their shoot was so fun.  It was full of laughter, and good times.

This happens to be a favorite image of mine.

I love weddings.   Have I said that recently?  Because I love them.  I really love them.

I have the best clients ever.  Seriously they make my job so much fun!  I am so very blessed with super fun clients who are laid back and happy and go with all the crazy things in life, like rain, hail, high-speed Tri-Cities winds, and blazing sun shine all within a few minutes of each other.

Stephanie and Greg were no exception.  Their wedding day was full of crazy weather and life.  But they were awesome.  A storm blew in and out as we finished their pictures, and they are were great about it.  It was obvious how head over heels in love they were with each other.  I love that!   Congratulations you two!  I wish you many years of happiness.

Saturday I had the opportunity to capture Bri and Tim’s wedding.  I normally get to meet my clients ahead of time, but they were coming in from Florida and Bri’s fabulous sister had been my contact.  I love my clients and getting to know them.  Bri and Tim were fabulous.  They dealt with our chilly day quite well and we were able to capture a lot of fun moments.  Thank you for allowing me to be part of your special day.
