Last Saturday I met up with Jennifer and Jake to capture their love in a fabulous engagement session. It was so fun to watch them with their adorable son and get to know them. They have such a great relationship and you can just feel the love between them.
We started with some family pictures.
And then just some of their adorable little man. He ran away from me the whole time. I even fell down into a hole while shooting him. (On a side note I always tell me clients they are responsible for making sure I don’t die. I am anything but graceful and I am sure I will walk in front of a car because I am looking at my clients and not my surroundings.) It was totally funny and it was a joke the rest of the shoot. Thankfully I didn’t hurt my camera.. or myself. But look at how cute their little boy is. I adore him.
Then we took off for some of just Jennifer and Jake.
I love how much fun they have together. And you can just tell how much they adore each other.
Jake proposed to Jennifer at a Central Washington Baseball game that he was playing in. I think that is totally romantic!
This image makes me happy. I love the look and I love that Jake has red shoe laces.

This series makes me super happy. I loved the light coming through and these two just oozed love.
You two are gorgeous! Congratulations on your engagement!
Thank you for hanging out with me and letting my capture your love! I cannot wait for your wedding in June!

I am sitting here and just realized today is September 14. Seriously the month is half over already? Where did the first half go?
On September first I drove up to Yakima to meet up with Allan and Molly, and Molly’s sweet daughter. Allan and Molly are engaged! I love, love, love, love engagement pictures. It’s such a fun way to get to know your couples, and it helps them to know what being in front of the camera is like with crazy me operating it. I always like to have a chance for the to get used to my style before their wedding day. And I love getting to know them and their love story even more.
Allan and Molly started dating after YEARS of their friend Rachel hounding them to meet. Neither one was really ready for a while but finally they met, long distance. Molly was in Boise, Allan was in Yakima, and lucky for them LaGrande, Oregon was a good half way point. Rachel, you totally knew what you were doing setting these two up. :) I don’t think they could find a better match for each other. And just hanging out with them you can feel their love for one another. After some long distance dating Molly moved closer.. and then really close. Finally these two are tying the knot in just over a month or so. I can’t wait to capture their wedding!
Meet Allan and Molly, plus Molly’s adorable daughter.
I love the old trains in Yakima. It was fun to shoot somewhere different!
They are such an adorable family.
I love this fun series. Katie makes me giggle.
Allan and Molly, this set captures you. So sweet and fun, and full of love!
Their eyes are gorgeous!

Congratulations on your engagement! I am so honored to be able to capture your special day!

This summer has been so busy. I have loved every minute of it. And I was super excited to capture the love between these two.
Joey is in the U.S. Marine Corps, and so their engagement session happened just a few days before their wedding. It was super fun to get to know Joey. I had met Britanni, and these two are made for each other. I loved watching them interact and seeing the fun they have together.

Britanni’s eyes look gorgeous in this. And she is so happy in Joey’s arms.

Thank you Joey and Britanni for letting me capture your love. And be on the watch for their wedding blog soon!

Our summer has been cold. And I know I have talked about the weather here way too much. But seriously, it has been crazy and the weather effects my job. So you get to hear about the weather. Now I will get to my point about the weather.
A couple of weeks ago I drove up to Spokane to meet up with Tyler and Lauren. I was super excited to meet them, and hang out with them as we wandered around downtown Spokane. They were only visiting Spokane for a short time from Iowa and so we had a day selected. I had watched the weather and it seemed like all was well. I was wrong. It was soooo cold. My van said 58 degrees when I left their shoot. It’s JULY!! It rained and was cold. But Tyler and Lauren didn’t mind. They came prepared with an umbrella and we looked for great spots and made the most of it.
I love downtown Spokane. It has such a fun feel, and I was super excited to shoot their, something different than the Tri-Cities.

I love how cute they look under an umbrella. The rain did not phase them.
We found all sorts of great nooks to pop in for pictures. And it was so fun just visiting with them. They have the best story of how they met.. on a cruise ship…maybe the Love Boat! :)
We stopped in front of a great bookstore for a few pictures. The light was gorgeous.
And then we hit a fabulous coffee shop. They played chess.
Drank coffee, and looked gorgeous.

We ventured back out into the rain and down to River Front Park.
I love this shot. I think it captures how adorable these two are together.
And lastly we hit the Carousel. We were the only people there. I don’t recommend riding it backwards, it goes way faster than I expected, but I love the fun images from it!
Tyler and Lauren, you two are adorable. I cannot wait for your wedding next July! Thank you for letting me in on your life and your love.

I am so proud of myself, I am on the third blog post of the week. And I am so excited to showcase this fabulous shoot.
Last week I had the chance to meet up with Parker and Jenny for a fabulous love session. The great thing about Parker and Jenny is they are so in love, it’s obvious. They are super funny, and so down to earth. And I love that they are goofy too. They are totally my type of people.
Meet Parker and Jenny. We started in a beautiful orchard.

I am in love with these images. The light is so beautiful, and I love the moment.
I think this might be one of favorite images from this session.
Jenny is little enough for Parker to sweep her up and spin her. Love it!!

I love when clients are willing to bust a move for me. And these two rocked it. Thank you!! I am all about busting a move anytime.
Thank you for such a delightful evening!!

I am so excited it’s FRIDAY!! I am ready for the weekend. It has been an incredibly busy week for me and I am looking forward to a quieter weekend. One can dream right? At least I am done with baseball and softball games for the week.
Meet Matt + Laurel.
In September they are getting married and I am so lucky I get to spend the day with them capturing it. I love all the couples I work with. After spending time with them I see why they are together. Matt and Laurel compliment each other so well. They are some of the kindest people I have met. And Matt was willing to listen to crazy me, even if he wasn’t quite sure about it.
I love this first picture. These two are gorgeous! And Laurel has my dream hair color. The perfect blonde! Back to them and enough of my randomness.
We went early in the morning and our weather cooperated beautifully. The light was gorgeous and the weather was warmer than any other day that week.
I love how sweet they are together. You can feel the love between them.
Thank you for spending the morning with me! I cannot wait until your beautiful September wedding!!

I recently went to Walla Walla and shot a fabulous engagement session. I was so excited to go to Walla Walla! I spent so much time there when I was a kid and I have many fond memories of Walla Walla. And really, it’s just a fun city name to say.
I was so excited to spend an afternoon with Harrison and Jennifer. We started in the perfect spot downtown. The weather was warm, and we wandered the street finding the the perfect light.
These two are so sweet together. And Harrison proposed to her in Disneyland! How cool is that!
I love that they were both wearing Chucks. They’re my kind of people!
After a while we went and checked out some abandoned trains. They were cool. I wish I could use the trains more often.
Harrison and Jennifer were so easy to shoot. They were relaxed and so kind. I cannot wait for their wedding in June in Walla Walla!
Thank you for letting me capture your love.

It’s APRIL!! Are you as excited as I am? I am excited for April because that means SPRING is coming, and it is going to be warm very, very, very soon. I cannot wait! And I am excited for April because it means that weddings are coming very soon also. And when I have weddings to shoot, I have engagements to shoot. So fun!
I went to High School in a little town called Pomeroy. It’s here in Washington. Don’t worry if you haven’t heard of it, most of the people haven’t unless the watched the movie Black Sheep, and that didn’t really give an accurate betrayal of Pomeroy. But it is home to me. I love this little town, and I love the fact that you feel like you are taking a step back in time when you go visit. I am sure you are wondering why I am rambling on about this cute teeny tiny town, but I really do have a point. I promise. When I moved there in High School I met the most adorable nine year old boy. And as I have thought about this more, I realized that my son is now a cute nine year old boy. That makes me feel old… I don’t want to be old!! Oh wait.. back to the point. This nine year old boy was the little brother to one of my friends. He had to go to all of his older brothers games and I always got to see him. And then I grew up and moved away from Pomeroy.
Fast forward 532 years later and now that adorable little nine year old is no longer nine. Crazy right? He is now getting married! And he happened to meet a gorgeous, and sweet girl. I think he’s pretty lucky.. but so is she. Collin and Kayla are two of the sweetest people I have met. I am so excited to shoot their wedding back in Pomeroy in July.
Meet Collin and his beautiful fiance, Kayla.
We started off in the orchard, I am in love with the pretty blossoms. And really I could have shot these two anywhere the camera loves them.
I learned that Collin gives her a piggy back every day to bed. Isn’t that the sweetest thing ever?
We hit downtown Kennewick for a change in scenery.
And then we went for a country feel to end the shoot. I was loving the light all evening.
This is one of my favorite shots of the night. I love how peaceful they are together. I think capturing love, and seeing couples interact is part of why I love what I do so much. I love the emotion you can feel from a single image. These two really love each other.
Collin and Kayla, I hope you enjoy your sneak peek! Thank you for letting me capture your love.

I am so excited, and grateful at this very moment. I have said before that I absolutely love weddings. They are so fun and honestly I can’t get enough. I love the raw emotion of the day and the intimate moments I get capture. It all makes me giddy. And I always leave feeling so blessed to have been able to capture such a private, and special day.
And now the reason I am so excited! I had a wedding I shot this past summer of Jana and Steve featured on Apple Brides today. You should go HERE to check it out. And make sure you leave a comment. This is a Spokane Wedding site, but if you are getting married in the Northwest, and even better Eastern Washington make sure you check it out. There are so many great resources, and Rachel is doing an amazing job showcasing all of the great things Spokane and the outlying areas have to offer.
I am excited for many more weddings in the future, and 2011 is going to be a great year.
And lastly I can’t not post an image. I love this from Jana and Steve’s wedding.
