Tuesday was chilly. Heck the last couple of weeks have been cold. My morning run outside leaves me chilly most of the day. You might find me wrapped up in a snuggie at my house if you stop by unexpectedly. But Tuesday had a little bit of sunshine which was nice after the dismal grey sky we have been enduring for forever. I think the sun came out just for John and Katelynn. I was super excited to meet them and shoot their engagement session. And in 2012 I will be shooting their wedding. :)
Meet John and Katelynn.
I am seriously so excited to shoot their wedding. I loved hanging out with them on Tuesday and getting to know them. One thing about John and Katelynn that really stood out to me through out their session was how extremely kind they were to one another. I love seeing couples who you can tell are completely in love, but are also looking to put the other one first. That’s what marriage is all about.
To start our session we went to Bookwalter Winery. It is a beautiful venue and they were kind enough to let us shoot around their barrel room. I loved it!

Then we headed out to WSU Tri-Cities for some fun pictures. They both attended WSU Pullman but since Pullman was a little far we figured the Richland campus would be great! It sheltered us from the cold and added a fun twist.

I love shooting on the WSU campus, there are lots of great locations.

This has to be one of my favorite walking shots ever. It was cold and John was totally keeping Katelynn warm. It makes me happy, you can just feel the love.

Thank you for letting me capture your love. I cannot wait to shoot your wedding this coming year!
Merry Christmas!

I love weddings. And you know I really love them if I shoot one on my very favorite shopping day of the year.. {Black Friday}.
I was super excited to shoot Allan and Molly’s wedding. These two have been dating for quite a while, and they are completely and totally meant for one another. You might remember them from here. The stars aligned and these finally tied the knot. They were married in the LDS Columbia River Temple in Richland. It was a chilly and windy day but they were gorgeous nonetheless.

Capturing Allan and Molly was so fun! They were up for anything and didn’t balk at the bitter cold.
We had sun. I haven’t seen a lot of sun lately so seeing sun in pictures makes me happy.

Molly and Allan. You two are stunning.
Allan has the best smirks.
I LOVE Molly’s cowboy boots.
I love that a new family was formed. Lucky Allan to get two beautiful ladies in his life.

I love these shots of Katie. She was enjoying the big day also.

Congratulations on starting your forever together. I know you two are going to do great things! Thank you for letting me capture your day.

Christmas is just a few days away. Hard to believe the year is rapidly coming to an end. I have two shoots left this week and then I am on vacation for a few weeks to enjoy some much needed time with my family.
Meet the *R* family. I am so lucky, I had the privilege of taking their engagement session in 2010, and also capturing their wedding. I absolutely adore them and I am so excited that they are welcoming in a sweet baby girl in February. They are such a wonderful family and I know this baby girl is going to be surrounded by lots of love.
It was cold, but they didn’t mind. They worked the cold and their daughter was totally working it, even though I was freezing in my down coat.
I love these two shots. They make me happy.

Matt and Andrea I love how in love you are. It radiates from you.
And Andrea I love how glowing you are. I can see how thrilled you are to be welcoming a new baby girl into your home. What a blessing!

Thank you for enduring the cold and allowing me to capture your family once again! Merry Christmas!

Last Saturday I had a super fun family shoot. The Herres family traveled from Pomeroy so I could capture their family. I went to High School with Piper and Nick and I enjoyed meeting their children and hanging out with them. We had gorgeous weather for the last weekend in November, and we had a really fun shoot.
The Herres are big Green Bay Packers fans, we started out with a fun football shoot. I love watching families interact and play together. They had lots of fun playing football together.
And the kids have serious skills. I was impressed.
We headed over to an orchard to capture some more family pictures.
I love how sweet the kids are to each other.

And we finished with the Piper and Nick. Congratulations on 8 years of marriage!

Thank you for letting me hang out with your family and capture you.

I have to confess I really miss living in Indianapolis, I miss the city. I loved my life their, and I loved the shopping and just the city. Sometimes I close my eyes and pretend I am there. But then I open them and I remember I moved back home.. a place I love. But I left a big chunk of my heart in Fishers, Indiana. Especially at the mall. :)
When I was contacted about going to Seattle for a couple of shoots I jumped at the chance. A city, and some serious shopping. Yes please. I grabbed my friend Sonja and we were off to shop, eat lots of Panang Curry at different Thai restaurants and just have fun. I hadn’t shot in Seattle for clients before and I was praying that our weather would behave, it is Seattle after all. It snowed the day I got there. I was a little nervous. But I woke up the next morning to brilliant blue skies, and you could see the Cascades and the Olympic Mountains, a total treat!
I met up with the “L” Family for their family session. It was chilly, but they were ready for the cold.

We took some of their pictures down on the beach. I have decided I want my family pictures on a beach next year.. on the ocean. That sounds like heaven.
I absolutely adore this family. They have the four most beautiful girls and they were so sweet and kind. I was completely impressed by them.
Angela and Bevin. You two radiate your love. Your girls have wonderful examples.

Thank you for letting me capture your family in gorgeous Seattle! And thank you for giving me a good reason for a shopping trip! I thoroughly enjoyed meeting your family and capturing you.

I have the most amazing clients! I know I say it all the time but my clients are hands down the best people ever!
You might remember this wedding from New Year’s Eve 2010. I had the opportunity to shoot all of Bernadette’s Family on the day the baptized their new baby boy. One thing I love about this family is they treated me like I was part of their family. They welcome me with open arms and it is so fun. My clients become my friends, and I am so very blessed to work with the people that I do.
To start with these two were married many moons ago. Aren’t they adorable.
They had six children together. They are hilarious and super fun!
So far four of their kids have gotten married, to wonderful people, bringing them to ten children. Lucky!
And their children and their spouses have brought in many more children. I love to see what two people started, such a beautiful family.

Thank you for spending an afternoon with me in the crazy Tri-City weather. The winds calmed just for their pictures. Prayers were answered.
I am so excited to see your family grow and expand. Thank you for allowing me to capture your memories.

It’s always fun to shoot engagement sessions. And this one was particularly fun. I was super excited to shoot Ben+Andrea. Ben is from Pomeroy.. (my hometown) and I was super excited to hang out with him and his super awesome fiancé Andrea.
Andrea had her hair and makeup done by Eden Salon and Day Spa, they did a great job, and Andrea looked stunning! The weather ended up being questionable. It was windy and cloudy but we made the best of it. And Ben and Andrea were troopers through it all.
We started in the beautiful fall leaves.
And then we found a beautiful meadow where we captured some great moments!
Ben and Andrea have such a great love. I loved watching them giggle and have fun together.
Ben and Andrea you two are such a great match!

Thank you so much for spending an afternoon with me. I am so excited to shoot your wedding in May!!

Last Saturday I met up with Jennifer and Jake to capture their love in a fabulous engagement session. It was so fun to watch them with their adorable son and get to know them. They have such a great relationship and you can just feel the love between them.
We started with some family pictures.
And then just some of their adorable little man. He ran away from me the whole time. I even fell down into a hole while shooting him. (On a side note I always tell me clients they are responsible for making sure I don’t die. I am anything but graceful and I am sure I will walk in front of a car because I am looking at my clients and not my surroundings.) It was totally funny and it was a joke the rest of the shoot. Thankfully I didn’t hurt my camera.. or myself. But look at how cute their little boy is. I adore him.
Then we took off for some of just Jennifer and Jake.
I love how much fun they have together. And you can just tell how much they adore each other.
Jake proposed to Jennifer at a Central Washington Baseball game that he was playing in. I think that is totally romantic!
This image makes me happy. I love the look and I love that Jake has red shoe laces.

This series makes me super happy. I loved the light coming through and these two just oozed love.
You two are gorgeous! Congratulations on your engagement!
Thank you for hanging out with me and letting my capture your love! I cannot wait for your wedding in June!

I have a special place in my heart for kids with special needs. Always have. And those kids with Down Syndrome touch me even more. And I am so grateful for the families I am able to capture and to watch the interaction. I love watching parents and siblings interact. And watching this family with their daughter and these big brothers made my heart want to burst. I am so blessed to have such amazing clients.
Meet the *P* Family. Look closely at their daughter. I love how her personality shines through.

These brothers are the best any girl could ask for. And I don’t think they could have a cuter sister.
This moment makes my heart melt. I love it.

Thank you for letting me capture your family. It was truly a honor.

Brrr… it’s November, and it’s cold. I am not ready for the cold. But it is making its rapid appearance. Thanksgiving is just three weeks away, which means Christmas is not far off. It’s the season that everyone gets their Christmas Cards ready to send out, and new family pictures.
Meet the “O” Family. I thoroughly enjoyed shooting their family in this beautiful fall setting.
We had beautiful light.
And happy smiling children.
And two parents who are head over heels in love!

Thank you for letting me capture your family!
